Middle Atlas mountains Day Trip from Fes
Our first step: from Fez to Immouzar
Our first step will be from Fez city, from you Hotel/Riad towards the Middle Atlas through cork forests, cedar and dynamic Barbary apes.
Our first station will be in Immouzar; a small village; situated exactly between Fez and Ifrane city; it is a fascinating village with its clean crystal fresh air.
Immouzar is especially more deserved to visit in the spring with the blossom of Apples and Pommes. It’s much known by its cheese production as it contains cheese firm which we’ll visit so that to taste different styles of cheese and discover Morocco’s rich wealth.
Next stop: will be in Ifrane
After finishing from Immouzar village, our next station is going to be in Ifrane city, and walking among its clean streets and explore its beauty included the green prosperous spaces and the water wealth that the amazing city of Ifrane has. Also, the European and the architectural style with which all houses are constructed.
We cannot come to Ifrane without visiting Ain Vital and have a rest inside the forests of the beautiful city.
The last step: will be in Azrou village.
After leaving Ifrane, we are going to continue our journey to Azrou village, an ethnic Berber area where Berber people still live a primitive life in caves and tents.
The houses of Azrou are constructed in a very special manner, with classic green painted doors, windows and gleaming tiles. It is famed for its apple and cherry trees, as well as the kindness and friendliness of its population.
Furthermore, we’ll profit the occasion to visit Mama aicha cave, of the fantastic caves in Morocco, built around three hundred years ago and still a historical site merited to see.
The Middle Atlas contains plenty of lakes, but Lake ‘Dait Awa’ is the most visited one; it’s around 15 Kilometers far from Ifrane; it offers you wonderful natural outlooks and it’s a tranquil place to wander and relax in front of crystalline lake.
